Senior DevOps Engineer - AWS SRE - hybrid - fmcg (Permanent)

Location: Ipswich/remote Country: UK Rate: £75-80k per annum
 

AWS DevOps Engineer is required to lead the VMWare to Cloud implementation within this fast-growing FMCG leading the way in its particular field. From a technology perspective this represents an outstanding opportunity to help drive an already-successful, and innovative player in this niche market, moving from a Legacy VMWare-hosted platform to a cutting-edge AWS environment.

Ideally you can demonstrate where you've worked in a similar senior level role, helping to bridge the gap between development and operations, focused on software delivery via automation. You'll assess the current landscape and lead on the design to AWS, mentoring a small team and improving capabilities and processes in the required methods.

  • Lead the migration from VMWare to AWS
  • EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, IAM
  • Python/Bash/Terraform/Ansible
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
  • Improve processes across release, DR, compliance
  • Manage performance in secure cloud environments
  • Jenkins, GitLab - end to end automation
  • ELK stack
  • Kubernetes/Docker beneficial
  • Elastic data analytics beneficial
  • Any eCommerce experience especially beneficial
