DevOps Engineer (Contract/Permanent)
Location: City of London Country: UK Rate: £60k - £70k per annum
 

A DevOps Engineer is needed to join a vibrant technology team within the leisure, travel and tourism sector. This role is ideal for a team member keen on enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring high-quality infrastructure.

Description

  • Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
  • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD process for all the applications to ensure releases are delivered with a high level of efficiency and quality.
  • Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products.
  • Conduct systems tests for security, performance, and availability.
  • Develop and maintain design and troubleshooting documentation.

Profile

A successful DevOps Engineer should have:

  • Proficiency in Scripting languages like Python, Perl, etc.
  • In depth knowledge of Azure
  • Terraform
  • In-depth knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
  • Knowledge of coding languages (eg C++, Java, JavaScript) and frameworks/systems (eg AngularJS)
  • Experience with software development methodologies (eg, Agile, Scrum).
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field.

Job Offer

  • An estimated salary range of £60,000 - £70,000 per year
  • 12-18month FTC
  • Holiday leave of 25 days, plus the opportunity to work 2-4 days per week on-site in London.
