Job Title: Network Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Essex (working on-site 3 days per week)
Salary/Rate: £280-369 a day

Company Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading automotive clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Network Infrastructure Engineer to join their team for a twelve-month contract.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives
You will be responsible for providing strategic direction and daily leadership for the Network Extranet Delivery Services department and leading a team of engineers responsible for design, installation, configuration, and deployment of Extranet solutions.

1. Provide sponsorship and oversight a portfolio of projects funded by IT and its customers
2. Deliver high-performance, high-availability network communications systems, with monitoring as appropriate to achieve service expectations, scalable to business needs, and with appropriate disaster recovery capabilities
3. Ensure the operational performance and maintenance of existing networks as well as design and delivery of new products/product enhancements
4. Maintain functional knowledge of technology, technology changes, and emerging business requirements

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

1. Extensive experience in Network Infrastructure/Security/Firewall responsibilities
2. Very strong experience of progressive leadership roles, preferably in managing and supporting network infrastructure and teams
3. Experience operating and supporting Cisco & Palo Alto network platforms
4. Ability to manage multiple projects and/or sub-teams simultaneously, including the ability to delegate key areas of responsibility
